This is a multistep process that walks you through successfully loading and using the package,The following are assumed before starting:

  1. You know where the files for the package are saved on your computer.

  2. That you have GMCP set to On on the MUD

  3. That you have brief desc set to both on the mud

  4. That your screen width is set to max, let mudlet do your wrapping.

  5. That your prompt is set to default when on the ground. All of this info will be available via gmcp in the various windows.

  6. Space Prompts must be turned on at this time. There is no GMCP data for space.

  7. MDK package is already installed.

  8. No previous version of this package are present.

Step 1. Create new Mudlet profile and open it Offline.
Step 2. Update the mudlet mapper by typing map update
Step 3. Go to Scripts > generic_mapper
Step 4. Open Map Script
Step 5. Find (ctrl+f) the function handle_exits
Step 6. Make line 1 look like this:

local room = gmcp.Room.Info.short or map.prompt.room or name_search()
Step 7. Click Save.
Step 8.Open Mudlet settings
Step 9. Click on Mapper tab
Step 10. Click on the ‘Choose map…’ button
Step 11. Select the SWMudPublic.dat file from where you saved it.
Step 12. Click on Save.
Step 13. Click on Packages

***Make sure you have the MDK package installed***

Step 14. Click on install new package

Select the swmud.mpackage file

Step 15. Click open.
Step 17. Click on connect

You will be prompted to login and the script should create new windows that can be moved and docked as required.

Do a look to find the start room on the map and Go Play!
